Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis
Aim of Qualification.
The aim of this qualification is to enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and manage anaphylaxis. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective BLS and management of anaphylaxis in emergency situations.
This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, at home or in voluntary and community activities, to provide BLS and manage anaphylaxis when dealing with an emergency.
Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.
- Know how to recognise a casualty with anaphylaxis.
- Be able to manage a casualty with anaphylaxis.
The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis is valid for a period of 1 year, within which time the learner will need to re-take the qualification and assessment in order to remain qualified.
Includes all course resources, first aid manual, certificate fees and light refreshments throughout the day.
